Synopsis:

"My BIG" is a new series developed by award-winning filmmaker, Steve Lantz, that focuses on heart-warming Big Brother and Big Sister relationships. There are endless stories of special friendships and mentors that have changed the lives of many children.

Steve plans to shoot most of the stories locally in the Grass Valley area and is working with Dena Valin, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County to select candidates for the pilot episode.

The selection process has been difficult for Steve and Dena as there are so many compelling stories to share. Steve, inspired by his own Big Brother experiences, will present each story in a cinematic and heart-felt way. Steve has been a musician since early childhood and music plays an important part of every project. "My BIG" will move many people to tears and uplift their hearts through the music, the heart and soul of every film.

"My BIG" Pilot Episode:

Length - 1 broadcast hour
3-4 segments featuring Big Brother/Big Sister relationships.
Narrator TBD

News & Updates:

The pilot episode is currently in development and shooting will begin in January 2012.
Several stories are being considered by the Producer at this time.
Additional updates will be added as the project develops further.

About the Filmmaker:

Steve recently discovered that the local chapter of Big Brothers-Big Sisters located in Grass Valley, California is celebrating it's 30th year. After some pondering, Steve realized that he too is celebrating his 30th year as a Big Brother and saw it as a sign to move forward with a passion project he has considered for years. Description of Project:

Finished video approx. 60 minutes long, with edited variations and lengths suitable for Big Brothers/Big Sisters website, film festivals, YouTube, network broadcast and other outlets
3-4 segments (Big Brother and Big Sister)
Film to be shot in HD wide-screen format
Interviews with Executive Director and possibly other staff members
Interviews with key people relevant to each story
Additional b-roll and reinactments to be shot at various locations
Photos and home videos provided by parents, Big Brothers/Big Sisters with their permission
Professional lighting at each location as needed
High quality motion graphics and titles
Professional audio recording, editing and mixing
Color correction and video enhancement as needed

Film Festivals, YouTube, Broadcast and Theatrical Distribution:

Upon completion, every reasonable effort will be made to exhibit the film, including but not limited to; film festival submissions; public display on YouTube, Vimeo and other video hosting sites (including
www.stevelantzproductions.com); DVDs and Blu-Ray distribution; theatrical exhibition and/or commercial broadcast.
