Education
I completed two years of architectural design studies at Arizona State University from 1980 to 1982. By the time I entered my second year, I was bored with architecture. I could barely stay awake during my architecture history classes and I was totally lost in advanced calculus. A collection of "American Cinematographer" magazines in the school library set me on a new life course. I sent my application to Brooks Institute of Photography and several weeks later received an acceptance letter! In 1982, I moved to Santa Barbara, California and attended my first class at Brooks Institute of Photography, one of the most prestigious photography schools in the world. I totally vested myself into the school and received as a reward, a wealth of experience and wonderful memories. I worked with many talented and creative people on countless projects in one of the most beautiful and inspirational settings one could imagine. The hands-on training and experience I received at Brooks covered every possible nuance of photography, multi-media and 16mm film production. I received my BA degree from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1985 after producing a promotional film for the school and received a "Merit of Excellence" award from Ernie Brooks. My three years at Brooks were a special time in my life I will always treasure. ALUMNI ARTICLES (2 on same page - scroll down). Featured Alumni 12/20/05 to 02/20/06.
